The Riverside Lions Hockey Club fields teams for a wide range of ages from Minkey in school years 1-2, an Introduction to Hockey program in school years 3-4 through to ladies' & mens' competitions.
We aim to provide an environment which allows players to pursue a career in hockey to their highest potential or to participate on a social basis in lower grades. Home games are played at Melvista Oval and Shenton Turf.

We need YOU! An EGM will be held at Lemnos Field (Shenton Turf) on Monday 28 November at 6pm for all Suburban Lions members. The primary agenda item is to vote for the 2012 Committee.

The recent Riverside Lions Extraordinary General Meeting saw all four resolutions passed unanimously. This means we are now officially the Suburban Lions Hockey Club which amalgamates the Riverside Lions and Suburban Nedlands Hockey Clubs. Thanks to all those people who attended.

Welcome to Riverside Lions Summer Hockey at Melvista. First games were played on Friday 21 October, and we are thrilled to have so many teams taking part, and so many newcomers (or return players) to the sport. For your convenience, the rules and the fixtures for the various grades can be found here.

 For those of you that just can’t get enough of hockey, we will be running our own Summer Hockey competition at Melvista. The program will be half-pitch, 20-minute halves, 7-a-side social games on grass with mixed, boys/girls and mens/womens teams in J5/6, J7/8 and senior groups on Fridays from 21 October - 2 December inclusive. Registration must be received no later than Friday 30 September 2011.

Riverside Lions Hockey Club has developed and adopted a Healthy Club Policy. It details our policy in relation to alcohol, drugs, smoking, sun protection, healthy eating and sports safety, and the strategy for non-compliance.
All players, parents, members and spectators are required to abide by this policy when attending hockey games, training or club events.
