We were thrilled with the massive turnout to the Lions Junior Hockey Season Windup on Friday 27 August.  The evening kicked off with the J5/6 presentations followed by a huge queue for the free hotdogs and burgers (sorry about the wait!) and a popular disco in the marquee.

From all accounts, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening on which we were blessed with great weather.  Congratulations to all involved in the organising and running of the evening - the bar staff, BBQers, food servers, cleaners, the DJ and everyone who worked behind the scene to make this such a success.  Thanks especially to the J9/10 girls that stepped up to serve the dogs and burgers, we know you came along for a night of fun, but you stepped up and helped us out and we really appreciate that.  Thanks also to the ladies who offered to help out at the last minute.

Riverside Lions took 7 junior teams to Bunbury over the June long weekend for the 20th Annual Bunbury Junior Hockey Carnival

The 2010 Season Starter Sundowner saw a fantastic turnout, despite the chilly conditions on Friday 14 May 2010.  It was great to see so many new Lions members and parents there in what we are sure will be the start of a new era at our newly amalgamated club.  Bevan Lawrence, President, briefed us all on the initiatives which are being worked on to date, including the news that we now have the lease for our very own clubrooms at Melvista.

Thanks to our sponsors of the night; Little Creatures and Swings & Roundabouts for providing beer and wine tasting, and to all of the members who brought along a plate of food to share.  Many were also appreciative of the efforts of the men that provided the projector screen for the Dockers game on the night.
